I have narrow feet and always spend a fortune on shoes. Could you find bargain shoes in narrow widths please? (10N in American sizes if you want to get specific, lol)

    Irina,

Please do. It’s great to have something in mind when I’m doing my bargain searching.

    De in D.C.,

I’ll definitely take a look. Do you know of any specific brands that tend to carry different widths? I’m also looking for wide shoes for a friend.

Oooh, this is a great idea! :) I’ve been searching for a long denim skirt in a dark wash at a good price (like, around $15-$30, but I understand if this is impossible).

    Jennifer,

About how long are you looking for?

  • S said:

I would love to see things that don’t just ship to the US (and sometimes Canada). I’m looking for pretty earrings right now that aren’t too expensive.

I’m after a brown/burgundy jersey/stretch dress, knee length, short or no sleaves, princess line or something that works for a maternity dress in an AU 14/16. I also don’t want to spend more than about $50 (I’m not demanding at all am I). Any ideas? (And a fabulous idea for a post!)

    S,

We’re thrilled, too, when we find bargains that ship worldwide — which we do occasionally. I’ll keep you in mind when I’m looking for jewelry. Are you looking for a particular type of earrings? What’s your price range like?

  • Meg in Florida said:

I’ll see what I can do Icy ;)

Hi I am trying to find Mia Chica’s Black sequined jersey dress. Size Med, or 8. It was on the Macy’s web site. It stated it was currently unavailable. Thank you Maria

A denim skirt about ankle-length. Ideally for church when it’s winter and I want to wear something with a bit more coverage, but also chic enough to wear to school and work.

Of course, no promises on any of this, but I think we’re going to have some luck with at least some of the requests and maybe all. I must say, it’s been fun and I’m definitely learning a bit since I’ve had to look in different stores than normal. So here’s an update for each of you that have asked for something:

    Maria,
Could you provide me with a link to the dress? I’ll see if I can find it or something very similar.

    Jennifer,
I think I’m getting close. I was rather surprised that most of the denim skirts for sale are still short, considering that its fall (then again, maybe that’s why they’re bargains).

    De in D.C.,
I found several pairs of dress shoes and I’ll try to get them scheduled next week if possible. Are you looking for casual shoes, too?

    S,
Still looking for earrings that ship worldwide. I’ve seen some, but with nothing to go on yet as far as your style, I want to make sure that the ones that I recommend are really great.

    Icy,
I think I’m getting close. I looked it up and AU size 14/16 is about our 12.

Ah, thanks! I’ve been looking around online too… and I forgot to mention that I’m a U.S. size 0. Which, I think, will make the search even more impossible. :P

  • Meg in Florida said:

    Wow! Do normal XS’s fit?

  • Jennifer said:

Yeah, I can fit XS. Of course, it always depends on the the way the company sizes its measurements (sometimes I’m a small or a size 2), but in general, I fit the smaller sizes.

  • Tanya said:

    Thanks :)

Any idea on cute, inexpensive bras in 34D or 32DD(preferred) that are cute? Preferably ones that fit my boobs which are full in the bottom and sorta flat on the top (makes for great overflowing at the bottom and wrinkles at the top, which may be a designer look for dresses but…. not so much for underthings.

oops, I forgot to check back after posting a comment. Meg, I usually find stuff by Naturalizer, Van Eli, Nina, Nordstroms’s house brand, Stewart Weitzman, Easy Spirit, and Franco Sorto. Van Eli has been my personal favorite for the past year or two since their styles are very chic and modern. For some reason, most narrow shoes listed on the popular shoe websites all look orthopedic (think Clarks and Trotters) or fit for your dear grandmother.

Wide widths have a lot more options (including discounters like Pay Less), but I’m pretty sure all of the brands I mentioned above also come in wides.

    Thanks De!
