I love love LOVE pretty things, and I still hesitate to spend money on them — being in debt is far worse than missing out on this season’s ‘must haves’.
I’m right with you, FB and Sara! My heart is still palpitating.
I’m not debt free, unfortunately, but I have never even thought of spending that much on clothes. For goodness sakes, my wedding dress cost less than her trendy top — though hopefully she’ll get more use out of the top.
What I don’t get, though, is why people justify purchases like that with “I deserve it.” If anything, don’t they deserve to not be in debt for the rest of their lives? It is possible to dress with self-respect without spending anywhere close to that amount.
