Isaac Mizrahi leather pumps, $14.99

heel detailisaac mizrahi riley leather pumpsI hate to say, “Every gal needs ____ “, but a pair of good quality black pumps is high on my list of wardrobe staples — and I’m sure it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see why:

  • black because you can wear them with a lot of stuff
  • pumps because they’re dressy and make you look thinner
  • and quality because you want them to be comfortable and last through so much wear

But you don’t have to “invest” in a pair of Manolos to get quality shoes. This leather pair from Isaac Mizrahi is now on sale for just $14.99, and got great reviews!

Don’t forget, the brown pair is still on sale for $7.49! At that price, you can get both pairs for less than $30!

Sizes 5.5-12 available; ships to the U.S. and APO/FPO addresses.

I’ve got to question whether any pair of shoes that cost $7.50 is a quality shoe. Have you actually bought these?

Hi Chris!

No, I haven’t bought them (tempted, but I have more than enough shoes as is).

However, the reviews at Amazon were very good and Isaac Mizrahi is a brand that I tend to trust. I’ve had good luck with his stuff that I have tried and he usually gets good reviews.

The original price of the shoes was $29.99, which sounds right on for this line — very affordable, but not so cheap that they have to be crap. I’ve still gotten plenty of shoes from various brands at that price or a little less, and have still been impressed with the quality *if they were leather*. I have some non-leather shoes that are still great, but in my experience, the leather ones just tend to be better all around.

So, $7.49 isn’t too low for me since it is a clearance price. Clearance prices don’t scare me off unless there are lots of bad reviews. I’ve found lots of great stuff on clearance. These shoes were probably just too plain to get much notice — a shame since it can be hard to find a nice pair of plain pumps at such a low price.

I for one, love these shoes aesthetically. My problem is no matter how gorgeous they look on me, and my god, they do as do alll of his higher heels with the skinny heel, I do hit clubs and find my feet are KILLING me by 1/3 into the night. I wear gel inserts inside the whole shoe as well as a seprate one at the ball of the foot and still, no fail, I am in pain (and it’s not cause I was dancing, I’m talking just standin’ around the bar talking to friends ) any suggestions?

I’m sorry to hear that! Although I tend to be a bit of a masochist when it comes to shoes, I still hate the idea of anyone else suffering for style.

Some shoes are better cushioned than others, but you’ve said that you’ve tried inserts, so I really don’t know what else to say. Have you found a certain height that still works? Like a kitten heel?

I’m not a podiatrist by any means, but where are your feet hurting?

As long as they’re leather, they’ll stretch but I am skeptical of a shoe on sale for $14… although, I’ve bought plastic (leather like) shoes that are ridiculously comfortable after I broke them in (i REFUSE to throw them out, they’re molded to my feet!)

i previously bought a pair in brown when they were 29.99 and i love them! i teach, so I am on my fee for 8+ hours a day. I’m so excited these shoes went on sale. I bought 2 pairs of each. snatch them up before they’re gone!

Thanks for the post - the ball of the foot right below my toes is where it is just insane pain… and I hate that because as I said, these shoes are my fave style and heel. I like the kitten heels but they don’t make the leg look longer and my club jeans are too long for them

Heh, well, after all of that deliberation, I think i’ve decided not to buy these. as lovely as they are, the shipping and handling AND tax (tax?? on amazon??!) is too much (over $5), especially if i decide to return these shoes (and target does not return shipping and handling).

That’s fine, Jennifer!

I still think they’re a great deal, even with shipping, but I certainly don’t expect everyone who sees them to buy them, of course.

Although, as far as returns go, you can probably return these to the nearest Target store. I don’t want to say positively that you can, but it would be worth checking if you did end up buying them. I know that some items can be returned that way, especially since I’ve done it before.

Awesome, Kristin! I’m always happy to hear that the things I recommend do turn out to be good buys!

I can understand your excitement, too. I remember how my feet hurt during my teaching practicum, despite wearing flats and not having the schedule of a full time teacher. I definitely have a lot of respect and admiration for teachers like yourself.

Awesome find. I agree that for the price this deal shouldn’t be passed up. Thanks for posting :)
