Silver rhinestone tiara: detailSilver rhinestone tiara: full product picThere’s one area where fairy tale princesses and I agree; Special occasions call for glamorous accessories. And what could be more glam than wearing a dazzling tiara?

This rhinestone and silver plate tiara is perfect for a girl’s quiceanera or prom, but is also a fabulous alternative to a veil for the modern bride who wants to show that fairy tales do come true.

At just $19.99, it’s also a lot cheaper than most of the bridal veils you’ll come across, and much more likely to be reworn. Trust me, wearing a tiara can become highly addictive. You may soon find yourself looking for any excuse to wear it.

(Pssssst, to all the men out there: a tiara can make a really romantic gift.)

Or you could get one and look like the lady I recently saw at the Wichita, Kansas airport. It was a Sunday morning flight and she was wearing her tiara with warm-up pants and sneakers - not a good look!

LOL! I can’t help but wonder what her story was, though. See, tiaras make people wonder ;)

Hi Zainab!

I’ve seen plenty of teenagers wear tiaras for prom or homecoming even recently. And in fact, I wore one at my senior prom. In fashion years, that seems like a long time ago, but by the looks of it, it’s a style that is still thoroughly in fashion. And even if it weren’t, I’d say “Seize the day!”. If there’s one thing I learned as a teenager it’s that some people will tease you regardless so there’s no reason to let them hold you back. And if looking too glam for their tastes is anywhere near the most embarrassing thing you’ve done as a teenager, well, you’ve really been lucky!
