Daily outfit for September 29th, 2008: jeans, sweater and Marc Jacobs flats

What I wore a couple of days ago:

  • Sweater: $25 at Century 21
  • T-shirt: $20 at Lohmann’s
  • Jeans: Topshop; $100ish Singapore dollars
I’d convert the price to US dollars, but I’m not sure I want to see the results after yesterday’s stock market crash…
  • Belt: Steve Madden, $13 at Filene’s Basement
  • Shoes: Marc Jacobs, $132 at Last Call Neiman Marcus
They’re this style, but in purple suede with black leather trim — and they’re actually comfortable to walk in!
  • Bag: Longchamp
  • Watch: Seiko…

Puff sleeve charmeuse top

This knit-trim charmeuse blouse from Chadwicks features one of my favorite ultra-fem details: short puff sleeves. In addition to looking stylish, they help balance out ultra-fem hips.

The top is available in three colors and in sizes 6-16.

Daily outfit: denim skirt, polo shirt, Marc Jacobs shoes

What to wear to travel in style? Denim skirt, flat shoes and a bag that’s just big enough for in-flight essentials like an iPod and some chocolate.

What I wore:

Where I wore it: On the plane back from Florida to NYC

Went out for gluten-free pizza with Meg, for my second-last day in Florida :(

Large CZ sunflower cocktail ring

Easily brighten up any outfit with this large, CZ sunflower ring from NVie Designs. Over-sized cocktail rings are one of my favorite fall trends that I look forward to wearing for years to come — especially since my husband bought me this lovely ring that I wrote about a couple months ago.

Steve Madden Vanishh women's wedge sandal heels

Just bought these and I can’t wait ’til they arrive!

They tap into fall’s statement shoe trend, without being too obviously 2008 — and wedges are much more comfortable than stilettos. Plus the price is very right :)
