Whether or not you’re going to San Francisco, try wearing a flower in your hair this spring for an unexpected pop of color.
It’s an inexpensive alternative to this season’s trendy floral prints if you’re looking to incorporate florals into your spring wardrobe — and why not, they’re feminine and fun.
Torrid.com has several lovely flower hair clips for just $9! Among others, I particularly like this yellow rose clip
and
this one in red.

For $35, you can get one of these stunning orchid hair clips from Karin’s Garden. While that may seem a little pricey for a hair clip, it’s a very reasonable price for an accessory that will add so much pizazz to so many outfits year after year.
All the clips featured ship internationally.

Therefore, I’ve been thinking about how to cut down on beauty-related expenses with these simple ideas.

Some days, there just isn’t time for a wash and blow dry before you leave the house.
My favourite solution is to tie my hair back in a ponytail, add a cute headband like this White Ribbon Retro-Style Headband and go. It’s a polished look that takes under two minutes to style!
The headband is on eBay with a starting bid of $1.99 and 4 days to go. The advice, as always, is free!

Want to spend less money and still have great hair?
Yesterday, I wrote about how expensive great hair can be, and why I’m wary of cheap hairdressers — but I also promised to share my new strategy for finding a great cheap hair salon.

There is exactly one place where my budget is regularly left in tatters — and it’s not the shoe store.
I confess, I have a hairdresser problem… but not with the cut, or the color, or the super-sleek blowdry. The only problem with my hairdresser is the bill.
My hair is currently Expensive Blonde, and it’s really living up to its name — it costs a small fortune to keep it looking that way.
