Great article! So true. I heard about the madness at Target this morning — haven’t seen it with my own eyes because I don’t have a television, but it sounds like it was crazy! I wonder whether anyone actually tried anything on?!
I completely agree. I have been staring at a lovely Evan Picone dress that I bought for $40 for two years because it’s not me. Fortunately, I’m going to consign it. But it’s easily the most expensive item I ever bought - I wore it twice, the cost per wear is $20! Ridiculous.

Yes - me too, seduced by the label I have bought illfitting and badly made designer gear. My last big mistake was a beautiful Chloe coat which looks great on my best friend’s 6 foot body and looks like a sack on my 5′4 frame. Ebay is the culprit - its so hard to resist!
Gala: I doubt anyone tried anything on. It’s much easier to find a great ‘bargain’ if you don’t check it fits and suits you first ;)
dowdydiva: Love consignment stores, they’re the best way to get rid of gorgeous things that just don’t work on you!
Maggie: If you’re in Sydney, think about taking it to The Frock Exchange. They should be able to get back a big chunk of your money and get it into the hands of someone who’ll love it.

Saw it, couldn’t understand it, so I wrote about it. It’s no wonder men think women are mad. It reminded me of feeding time at the zoo.*shudders*
You wouldn’t catch me elbowing other chicks out of the way to get a dress! Ghastly! :D
